This product is handmade in the fantastic natural material raffia. Raffia fiber comes from palm leaves and originates from Madagascar. Our raffia baskets and storage houses were, for example, some of our very first products. The products are produced in two villages in the mountains of Madagascar, where the production contributes to better and more resources for the townspeople the production supports more than 300 families on the Red Island.

Since raffia is a natural material and the products are handmade, each product may vary slightly in color and size. For us, that's part of the charm. The colors may fade if the product is exposed to constant sunlight. Do not allow the material to come into contact with liquid, as this may cause the color to bleed.
